How to Fit a Basin Waste？

Begin by placing the waste fitting into the basin from above.  Under the basin, place the rubber washer or gasket, followed by the backnut.  Tighten the backnut by hand first, then use a suitable tool to carefully secure it even further.  Be careful not to overtighten, as this might crack ceramic basins and harm the washer.

Before placing the waste flange into the basin, apply a thin layer of plumber's putty or silicone sealant across its underside to ensure a watertight fit.  This helps to close any minor gaps and avoid leaks.  Once the waste is tightened, any extra sealant that squeezes out can be removed with a moist towel.
